It's also important to know how long a potential manufacturer has been in business as well as their track record of success when it comes to producing similar products as yours. Make sure they have enough experience working with similar materials so they know how best to handle yours!
Understand quality control standards used by potential factories before you hire them (and make sure these standards align with yours). You'll want someone who takes pride in making sure every item meets your standards--not just passing them off as good enough!

What are your quality control standards?
Do you offer a warranty or guarantee on your products?
What's the lead time on product development, from initial concept to finished goods? This will vary depending on how much customization is involved in creating your product. It's important to find out how long it takes for a new design to go from CAD drawings to mass production so that you can plan accordingly with marketing campaigns and other initiatives related to launching new products or lines.
How much does it cost per unit? This may seem like an obvious question but some manufacturers don't include this information until after they've been hired by a client (or if at all). Be sure that before signing any contracts with potential vendors/partners who manufacture physical products that you understand their pricing structure and aren't hit with any hidden fees later down the road!
